Values for your school

If you are a school authority and find yourself dismayed to observe a clear and growing absence of values among students, and are concerned about school violence, bullying, aggressivity and lack of motivation in your students, we can help.

And it’s not hard at all!

Alive to the World has been designed and developed as a resource for departments of education, groups of concerned parents and others who are concerned about the anti-values which distracts the attention of young people today. Elementary, Middle and High Schools in many places are aware of the growing difficulty of managing their students. Problems of drugs, gangs and truancy increase daily, particularly where youth is most in need of good formation.

Alive to the World is a K-12 character and leadership curriculum designed so that schools, after-school activities or home-schooling can easily provide understanding and practice of the universal values such as justice, reciprocity, fair play, solidarity, honesty and a positive attitude to life in community.

We use the story-telling technique with on-going and evolving novel about Charles, his cousin Alice and a large group of friends, school-mates and surrounding community. At each grade level, the contents address the issues most important and intriguing for the age level of the pupils.

The approach to these stages is logical and largely rooted in the Golden Rule of ‘do to others as you would have them do to you.’ In the story sports and other activities proper to children and adolescents provide the main opportunities to demonstrate these lessons. The variety of characters prevents stereotyping.

Alive to the World is indeed an ideal instrument for teaching the values o democracy, development of the personality and a healthy sexuality effectively and in harmony with other subjects. Its backward planning and scaffolding lead our girls, boys and adolescents to learn to live their values through synergetic thinking. The first results are seen in the first few weeks of use.
