Organized by Provive, this conference serves as its annual offering to educators in Caracas who implement the Aprendiendo a Querer educational program in schools and colleges. Partnering with Chacao Mayor’s Office Education Director and with the generous support of the Chacao Cultural Center’s venue, the event was a tribute to these educators dedicated to transmitting the experience of values.
Conceived as a space for introspection and learning, the initiative sought to explore the essential dimensions of a purposeful education, focused on the materialization of ideals in concrete actions (acting), empathic connection and emotional intelligence (feeling), and conscious reflection (thinking). “We firmly believe that by integrating these three dimensions of the human person into our pedagogical practice, we can transcend the transmission of knowledge and become true agents of transforming lives,” said Deborah Freitas, general manager of Provive and host of the event, acknowledging the impressive attendance.
The guest speakers were: Amanda de Mendoza, specialist in Child Development, Parenting and Early Stimulation (@soy.mama.maestra); Claudia Álvarez, IESA professor in the area of Leadership (@claudia.alvarez2020); and Manuel García, president of the Institute of Logotherapy of Venezuela (@logoterapiavzla).

Claudia Álvarez presented “Learning to Think: the challenge of meaningful education”. She stressed the importance of integrating thinking as an educational strategy, explaining how the brain processes information (Interpretation-Action-Result) and arguing that teaching thinking is essential to “cultivate innovative citizen leaders”.
Manuel García, (@logoterapiavzla), distinguished psychologist, theologian, and president of the Venezuelan Institute of Logotherapy, presented “Educating with Meaning: The Teacher as a Beacon in the Search for Purpose.” García emphasized that true education lies in guiding students to discover what is valuable and to cultivate their decision-making abilities, with the teacher serving as a “beacon that guides and illuminates.”.
